Cognex 3/DS machine vision development system provides level imageanalysis tools at high performance levels for OEMs and end users.Cognex 3/DS incorporates the Cognex 3400 vision processor. Based on a25 MHz Motorola 68020 processor, with up to 32 MB of main memory, anintegral frame grabber with separate graphics overlay capabilities, andCognex's own VC-1 vision coprocessor chip, the Cognex 3/DS sets thestandard in challenging vision applications. With the addition of theoptional VC-2 vision coprocessor chip, operations such as a Sobel edgedetection and many image filtering operations become practical inproduction settings.As do all Cognex development systems, the 3/DS features a highlyinteractive development environment based on an onboard C compiler.Programs can be compiled as a whole, by the function, or by thestatement, greatly shortening the development cycle.
